technical help with pinnacle

i have a problem capturing with pinnacle dv200. my set up is complete, i also have adobe premiere 5 (.5) but when i hook my canon xl1s via firewire, pinnacle keeps saying. "problem initializing dv device, check dv connections" whats wrong? help!

Check the hardware is properly installed, and then make sure the cable is functioning properly.

Otherwise, get rid of Pinnacle! It sucks! LoL.

you might not have the correct drivers installed, there usualt on disks with the product and you can usually download them from the website of the product supplier.

with alot of hardware, you have to install the drivers before instaling the hardware, otherwise "plug and play" will *** up the instilation, and your software won't recognise it

if you can't find anything wrong, this is usually the problem [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]
